DANNY L. ROSS

Danny L. Ross is an author, public speaker, and psychotherapist with over two decades of experience. He is the founder and principal therapist at DLR Counseling Group, an Arlington and Southlake, Texas-based practice that provides personalized counseling services for individuals, couples, and families.
After obtaining a B.A. in music and sociology from Stillman College, Danny achieved an M.Ed. degree from Florida A & M University in Counselor Education with specialized research in therapy practices related to African American families. He is a leading professional in the areas of African American families, men, and youth. In addition, he is regularly sought by school districts and various local and national organizations to present on topics ranging from supporting African American students to foster academic success and mental health in the African American community to African American men’s mental health, family communication, and fortification, and the Wrap-Around model.
Danny is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and holds an Elementary Teaching Certification with ESL endorsement and a PK-12 School Counseling Certification. In addition, he is a member of the Lone Star State School Counselors Association and the Texas Counseling Association.
